SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Sioux Falls Downtown Pork Showdown is in its final two days.
Over 25 downtown restaurants have been participating in this year’s event, and at Monk’s Ale House, their feature can be summed up in one word.
“Delicious, to sum it up in one word, that would be delicious,” said Omali Vanterpool, Kitchen Manager at Monk’s Ale House.
The Bay of Pigs Grinder is a celebration of pork, featuring it in multiple ways.
“We have a simple pit-smoked ham, it’s going to be salty, a little bit sweet, we have our sugar-cured smoked bacon, which again is true to form, you can get sweet and salty, and then we have a locally sourced Italian sausage, it’s going to bring about a little bit of spice, not too much, but it’s going to have a good amount of flavor,” said V
