ALEXANDRIA — Autumn is here again, which means it's voting season.
Voting season for the Douglas County Historical Society's Annual Scarecrow Contest, that is.
"We've had lots of interest this year, and more inquiries coming from outside of Douglas County," DCHS Executive Director Brittany Johnson wrote in an email. "People are excited for their chance to show off their autumnal creativity."
The eight entries are displayed on the lawn next to DCHS. They are:
Kindness Is Always Fashionable by Brenda Thomson
SpongeBob Scarepants by DCHS staff
The Life of a Librarian by the Douglas County Library (which is also an interactive photo op)
Productive Alternatives by Productive Alternatives staff and residents
Minnesota Lakes: Salt Free, Shark Free by Legacy of the Lakes Museum
