HIBBING, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Federal agents and Lake Superior Drug Task Force were seen raiding two Mexican restaurants in Hibbing early Wednesday afternoon.

Initial reports of the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement came after officers from multiple agencies were seen at La Tequila Taco shop at 1818 Third Ave. East, around 1 p.m.

According to a trusted Law Enforcement Official, the raids were prompted by a drug investigation led by the Lake Superior Drug Task Force.

The Hibbing Police Department confirmed that Hibbing officers assisted the Lake Superior Drug Task Force with a warrant at the restaurant.
