NEWARK, Ohio — Central Ohio Technical College has been anticipating expanding and speeding up training programs after defense contractor Anduril announced plans to open its "Arsenal-1" manufacturing facility near Rickenbacker Airport in about nine months.
COTC President John Berry said Intel's arrival in Licking County became the blueprint, a pilot program that taught COTC how to quickly build and accelerate training programs to meet the workforce demands of a major manufacturer.
Berry said COTC created four new courses to support Intel’s operations and stands ready to meet with Anduril to tweak or add programs that would build a lasting workforce pipeline.
