MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Families with loved ones living with Alzheimer’s or dementia might be looking for ways to celebrate Halloween without overwhelming them with spooky decorations or costumes.

MaryAdele Ravoy visits her mom, Lynn, at Azura Memory Care in Verona weekly. Lynn was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2017.

“She’s definitely progressed over the years, so to be in this place, we’re very privileged to have great care for her as she loses more cognitive functioning and more daily skills,” Ravoy explained.

Ravoy said it’s a facility that keeps traditions alive like Halloween. Although some sights and sounds can be overwhelming for folks living with the disease.
