BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly shooting with the intent to kill in Bodfish on Oct. 18.
Deputies with the sheriff's office were dispatched to the 200 block of Jones Street around 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 18 for reports of a shooting at an inhabited dwelling.
Investigation showed the suspect, later identified as Michael Kemmeter, 29, intentionally shot at a woman with the intent to kill. Officials said two minors were in the residence and no one was injured.
A warrant was issued for Kemmeter's arrest on charges of attempted murder, assault with a firearm and negligent discharge of a firearm.
According to sheriff officials, Kemmeter was found in the 600 block of Laurel Drive on Oct. 23. The warrant was served and deputies found m
