KAMSACK – Kamsack RCMP are warning residents about a potentially dangerous drug circulating in the community after responding to multiple overdoses over the past two days.

Officers say three overdoses occurred within a single hour on October 29. While no deaths have been reported, first responders required naloxone and other medical interventions.

Police are urging individuals to recognize the warning signs of an overdose, which may include slow, weak or absent breathing, gurgling or choking sounds, blue lips or fingernails and dizziness, confusion or extreme fatigue.

RCMP advise anyone who witnesses these symptoms to stay with the individual and call 911 or their local emergency number immediately.
