PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A child was recently grabbed and chased by a coyote in their Portland neighborhood yard, leading Oregon wildlife officials to warn residents of the "concerning incident."

On October 24, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife received a report of an incident involving a coyote and a child in the Alameda neighborhood.

The previous evening, around 6:15 p.m., two children – ages nine and three – were playing hide-and-seek in their yard when the coyote approached the nine-year-old and grabbed their foot, officials said.
