WILKES-BARRE — The Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office hosted the first county-wide Crime Watch meeting on Wednesday night at the Luzerne County Courthouse.

The event was attended by local and state officials, police officers from the surrounding municipalities, and members of area crime watch groups. They came together to inform the public on the many ways to protect themselves from crimes like scams, identity theft, and human trafficking.

The event featured speakers David Shallcross, of the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office; Special Agent Joseph Noone of the FBI; Tom Mosca of the NEPA Task Force Against Human Trafficking (Republican nominee on Tuesday’s ballot for judge on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas); and Adam Kowalczyk of the Pennsylvania State Police.
