New Delhi [ India ], October 29 (ANI): India and Nepal on Wednesday signed two major agreements to strengthen power sector cooperation, including the development of new high-capacity cross-border transmission lines aimed at boosting regional energy trade and grid connectivity between the two countries, as per an official release issued by the Ministry of Energy.
According to the release, the agreements--signed between POWERGRID, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) of India , and the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)--cover the implementation of the Inaruwa (Nepal)-New Purnea ( India ) 400 kV and the Lamki (Dododhara) (Nepal)-Bareilly ( India ) 400 kV Cross-Border Transmission Systems.
