New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) India and Nepal strengthened their power sector cooperation, with the inking of agreements for developing two cross-border power transmission lines.
The Agreements were inked between Powergrid, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) of India, and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), in the presence of union Minister of Power Manohar Lal Khattar, and Kulman Ghising, Nepal’s Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, in New Delhi today.
The agreement is for the implementation of the Inaruwa (Nepal) – New Purnea (India) 400 kV Cross-Border Transmission System, and Lamki (Dododhara) (Nepal) – Bareilly (India) 400 kV Cross-Border Transmission System.
