Dhaka, Oct. 30 (UNI) The Bangladeshi Chief Adviser’s office has announced that the country’s Election Commission could declare the date for the upcoming national election by the first week of December this year.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam made the announcement following a high-level meeting on election preparations with Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus in the chair on Wednesday.
“The date for Bangladesh’s next national election is expected to be declared by the first week of December,” Alam said at a press briefing.
He further said the high-level meeting discussed mainly four major issues: the posting of officials, comprehensive training, security arrangements, and strategies to counter disinformation on social media.
