ROBESON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Cicily Pridgen left a large outdoor Halloween party last week in Robeson County just 10 minutes before shots rang out and changed her life forever.

In the panic that ensued as more than 300 people fled the Dixon Drive property, authorities would determine that 11 people were injured while two others died: 49-year-old Jessie Locklear and Nehemiah Locklear, who was 16.

"I wish I could have just gotten to see him and be like, 'hey cousin, I'm going home, why don't you go home with me,'" Pridgen told News13 Wednesday night. "I wish I could have."

With a big smile and kind heart, Locklear's loved ones said he ran for his life just after 1 a.m. on Oct. 25.

"For me to get that call that he was gone, broke my heart," Jessie's cousin Norma Locklear said.
