TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Relief is coming for SNAP recipients from Arizona.

Funding for assistance in the wake of COVID is now being applied during the federal shutdown.

Recipients in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can apply their vouchers at Tucson CSA and local farmer’s markets as members. The funding helps not only them but local farmers as well.

“It’s going to be a huge relief to us that we can get it to people, but especially people that receive SNAP dollars that they can continue to get fresh, local produce,” said Daniela Diamente, owner and co-director of Tucson Community Supported Agriculture.
