BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) -- WVU Tech will soon play host to the Governor's Computer Science Institute.

The program will select the top 50 high school students in the state for participation in the institute.

Professors with the Leonard C. Nelson School of Engineering hope the high school students get a lot out of the program.

"They will write programs, participate in programming competitions, and create industry type applications, computer applications. And also, they will have access to southern West Virginia recreational activities." said Dr. Ranjith Munasinghe.

Dr. Kenan Hatipoglu agreed, and explained more about the program.
