A contract worker from the Chicago area is recovering after he fell more than 50 feet from a scoreboard at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium.
According to NBC affiliate WPXI, Keith Keller was working on behalf of NBC Sports, installing a remote camera for Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers when he fell from the scoreboard atop the stadium.
WPXI reported Pittsburgh EMT’s used a basket and pulley system to lower Keller to the ground, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Bill Brennan, who describes himself as a friend and colleague of Keller’s, set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for medical bills, and that account has already raised more than $130,000 as of Wednesday night.
