Cricket Australia (CA) disclosed a net deficit of A$11.3 million for the financial year 2024-25 despite a revenue surge from hosting India in the prestigious Border-Gavaskar series.

At its annual general meeting, CA reported revenues climbed by A$49.2 million to A$453.7 million, driven primarily by new domestic media deals and match revenues. Nonetheless, a steep rise in expenses, linked to marketing and extended tours, offset gains, drawing criticism from member state Cricket Victoria.

Looking forward, CA CEO Todd Greenberg emphasized a positive outlook for 2025-26, with anticipated revenue boosts from hosting the Ashes against England and exploring private investments in the Big Bash League to enhance competitiveness.
