GRAND FORKS — When Grand Forks Red River came off the field last Friday, head coach Vyrn Muir wasn't sure how to inform his team of the good news.

The Roughriders had just suffered a loss to Central in the Cushman Classic. But thanks to Wahpeton's win over Fargo South, Red River still secured a berth to the postseason as the No. 4 seed out of the East.

"It was like, 'How do we share this news?'" Muir said. "Some of our guys knew, some didn't. Once we told them, at the time, it didn't seem too exciting.
