LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Two local teams fell in the MHSAA boys soccer state semifinals on Wednesday night, Lansing Catholic in Division 3 and Lansing Christian in Division 4.
Lansing Catholic fell to Detroit Country Day 7-0 at Parker Middle School in Howell. Cougars’ sophomore goalkeeper Alex Frank made a number of impressive saves, but Country Day dominated the semifinal to advance to the state championship game.
The Cougars finish the season 12-5-1, having captured the CAAC-White title, a district title, and a regional title.
Lansing Christian lost 1-0 in overtime to Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett, with the game played at Troy Athens High School. The Pilgrims had outscored their first four playoff opponents 20-0 heading into the semifinal, but conceded their first goal of the
