PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — It started with a simple Facebook message.

Jordan LeFort, a second-grade teacher at St. Cecilia School in Pawtucket, reached out to 12 News anchor Shannon Hegy with a video explaining a new project her students were working on.

"My 2nd grade class has started doing a 'Friday News Report' because I thought it would be a great idea for my students to work on their social skills and to build up their confidence," LeFort wrote. "They are so excited every week to do interviews and report on what's happening in the school. They love their school and want everyone to know how much they love their school!"
