A search and rescue operation has concluded following reports a swimmer had gone missing in the surf at Bargara yesterday evening, 29 October.
A man, matching the description of the missing swimmer, presented himself to police, safe and well.
He told police he was swimming in the area yesterday but exited the water further north.
No relevant missing people have been reported since.
Police would like to thank Surf Lifesaving Queensland (SLSQ), State Emergency Service (SES), Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR), Australian Border Force (ABF) and LifeFlight for assisting in the search.
Bundaberg Patrol Group Chief Inspector Grant Marcus said it’s a good outcome.
