CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County is hosting a pre-construction community meeting to discuss a major upcoming road improvement project.
The Fort Johnson Road Intersection Improvement Project meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at James Island Town Hall.
Residents will have the chance to hear from county public works officials about the project’s goals, anticipated phasing, timeline, and construction expectations.
Once the presentation is complete, attendees will be able to speak directly with project team members about any questions or concerns.
The project is set to address the intersection of Fort Johnson Road at Secessionville Road by upgrading the area with crosswalks, pedestrian refuge areas, pedestrian signals, and dedicated turn lanes
