JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) - The Janesville Police Department arrested a man for allegedly having child pornography months after searching his home, authorities said Wednesday evening.

In April, JPD served a search warrant for a child pornography investigation at a home in the 600 block of North Pearl Street, officials said. While no one was arrested during the search, police found electronics and took them for a forensic examination.

Based on the evidence, detectives found probable cause to arrest Caleb Waite, 21, of Janesville. Officers arrested the man Wednesday on five counts of possession of child pornography.

Waite is in custody at the Rock County Jail awaiting his first appearance in court.
