Two people were killed in a crash on North Moore Road on Wednesday afternoon, and another driver is facing DUI and vehicular homicide charges.

Chattanooga police say the crash happened around 3:30pm in the 600 block of North Moore Road. Investigators say an Infiniti QX60 driven by 28-year-old Tai-Rique Floyd collided with a Hyundai Tucson turning onto the roadway from Golfview Drive.

The 54-year-old man driving the Hyundai and the 55-year-old female passenger were taken to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

Floyd was arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Jail on two counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, DUI, and other traffic offenses.
