KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Popular streaming site HBO has begun production on a new documentary following a "sprawling" criminal case in Johnson City, according to Warner Bros. Discovery's website.
According to the release, HBO Documentary Films, World of Wonder and Ronan Production Group are currently in production on a documentary that follows years of reporting by journalist Ronan Farrow.
The film will follow the case of "serial predator" Sean Williams, tracing his decades-long evasion of justice and an "ensuing scandal over claims of corruption and systemic law enforcement failures."
"The documentary will feature exclusive access to the subjects at the heart of the story, including Kat Dahl, a determined federal prosecutor who was dismissed after investigating the case," the website said.
