Music plays as Governor Brad Little arrives to the small community of Preston Idaho. Once a month, Governor Little and his cabinet members visit small Idaho towns for their monthly capital for a day. The event gives Idaho residents the chance to address issues and share their opinions with Governor Little and his administration.
One of the main concerns shared were the budgets to the local schools. Governor Little speaks on funding on schools.
"We were having record surpluses, so we took 1,000,000,001 and put it into a fund that's available for all the school districts to use to write down their debt or to have money for a new school. And there's other areas where they have that."
Other concerns were raised such as cuts to Medicaid and the government shut down.
