SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Two Utah-based Homeland Security Agents were sentenced in federal court for stealing illegal bath salts from law enforcement agencies and selling them, in a scheme worth over $300,000.

The two people in this case, David Cole and Nicholas Kindle, were Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agents working out of the Salt Lake City Field Office, and according to the federal indictment, they used their positions as federal agents "to wrongfully obtain illegal narcotics" seized by law enforcement and sold those narcotics to drug dealers.
