The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is still in the process of recovering from a sciatica issue that began troubling him during the summer. Because of the injury, James missed all of the Lakers’ preseason games and has yet to make his return to the court.

So far, the Lakers have played four regular-season games this year, and LeBron’s absence has clearly been felt. The team currently sits at a 2-2 record.

Amid LeBron’s continued recovery, former NBA star turned analyst Charles Barkley sparked a heated discussion on Inside the NBA regarding the legitimacy of James’ injury. Barkley boldly expressed doubt about whether LeBron truly has sciatica.

“And first of all, LeBron don’t have a sciatica,” Barkley said.
