New Delhi: Strokes have traditionally been considered a problem of the old. Women, like men, have substantial risks too; some of them are related to hormones that are quite different from men. A stroke is the consequence of blocking the blood flow to the brain or when a blood vessel bursts, and the brain cells are deprived of oxygen. Hormonal changes for women can be one of a major factor that changes their risk of a stroke.
