India’s ‘One Nation One Police Uniform’ policy is moving into its implementation phase.

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed 16 states and Union Territories, including Odisha, to submit detailed data on police uniforms and allowances by November 4.

The MHA has asked for rank-wise information from Constable to Deputy Superintendent of Police, including annual uniform allowances and the cost of current uniforms. Odisha’s DGP Control Room has instructed the State Police Headquarters to compile and forward the required data promptly.
