Mumbai, Oct 30: In a startling revelation following the arrest of a man posing as a scientist at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai Police have recovered what they described as “suspicious nuclear data” and over a dozen maps from the accused. The seized materials are now under forensic and intelligence examination to determine if they contain sensitive or classified nuclear information.

The accused, identified as Akhtar Qutubuddin Hussaini, was arrested in Versova last week after he was found impersonating a BARC scientist under multiple fake identities. Police recovered forged BARC ID cards, passports, Aadhaar and PAN cards, with names such as Ali Raza Hussain and Alexander Palmer.
