New Delhi: Elon Musk’s satellite internet project, Starlink, is preparing to do demo tests in Mumbai on October 30 and 31, and this will be a significant milestone on its way to commercial deployment in India. The demonstrations will be presented to the concerned law enforcement agencies, showing the adherence to the security and technical requirements to operate satellite broadband. They are essential tests in the rationale of receiving clearances to commence commercial services under the Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite (GMPCS) licence.
