CLEVELAND — Bobby George, who is well known for his ownership of restaurants, including TownHall in Cleveland , appeared in court on Thursday.

The original bond of $200,000 bond was continued as well as an order of no contact with the victim.
A pre-trial has been scheduled for Nov. 10 at 9 a.m.
His appearance came just days after he was "indicted by information" on a fifth-degree felony charge of attempted strangulation. This means George was charged directly by prosecutors via a bill of information after waiving his right to a grand jury.
Previously, Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney Jane Hanlin was appointed to lead the case after Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley recused himself amid concern
