HOCKING COUNTY, Ohio — An Ohio man will be sentenced in November after authorities said he placed a hidden camera in his Hocking Hills rental cabin.
Investigators at the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office said Jason Yard of Akron was the owner of a cabin he called the Sly Fox Lodge on state Route 664 in Hocking Hills.
In February 2024, a family staying at the cabin called deputies after finding a camera hidden in the basement bathroom.
Detective Lt. David Wright said the only part of the camera that was viewable, was the lens, which he described as the size of a thumbtack.
“And it was hidden in the track ceiling, a drop ceiling in the corner of the bathroom,” he said. “It was in view of the commode which was in the far-left corner and also in view was a walk-in shower.”
