Guntersville Woman Killed, Another Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 431
Guntersville-A Guntersville woman is dead, and another driver is injured following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Guntersville.
Guntersville Police Traffic Homicide Unit Lieutenant Josh Case said officers responded to the scene at 7:53 a.m. on U.S. Highway 431 at the intersection of Buck Island Drive. The collision involved a 2024 Mazda CX-50 driven by 69-year-old Alexis Lauren Taylor-Boll of Guntersville and a 2017 Jeep Wrangler driven by 29-year-old Chelsy Morgan Barnes of Dawson.
According to investigators, Barnes was traveling north on U.S. 431 when Taylor-Boll attempted to enter the highway and turn south. Taylor-Boll was pronounced dead at the scene. Barnes was transported to Huntsville Hospital,
