LOGAN - The Light the World Giving Machines are returning to Cache Valley this December. The three machines will be at the same location as last year: 55 West Center in front of Great Harvest Bread Company and Bakery in Logan.

The vending machines will be ready for use from Monday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. and will remain through Dec. 31. Last year, the machines brought hundreds of people downtown to take the opportunity to do a different kind of Christmas shopping.

In 2024, residents from Cache Valley and the surrounding area purchased 16,681 items and spent some $275,000 at the Giving Machines.

The money went to seven non-profit organizations and five of the seven were from Cache Valley. Checks ranging from $40,000 to $70,000 were presented to each of the local non-profit charities to purcha
