Week 9 of the high school football season is here, which is the first week of playoffs in Maine, and the final week of the regular season in New Hampshire.

There are six games on Friday, Oct. 31, and two on Saturday, Nov. 1. This week's games will feature nine Seacoast teams.

Friday's games involving Maine teams in the playoffs are No. 5 Cheverus at No. 4 Marshwood in a Class B South first-round game, and No. 10 York at No. 7 Foxcroft Academy in a Class C first-round game.
