NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WFSB) - A three-vehicle crash closed two lanes on Route 72 eastbound early Thursday morning.

The crash occurred between exits 2 and 1D, blocking the right and center lanes. The incident was reported at 2:16 a.m.

Traffic is being diverted to the left lane while crews work to clear the scene.

No information about injuries or the cause of the crash was immediately available.
