An Edinburgh schoolboy was diagnosed with cancer after his parents noticed "unexplained bruises" on his arms.
Nathan Elliott, from Niddrie , started showing symptoms shortly after his ninth birthday earlier this month.
He became tired after the eventful birthday weekend. He was sent home from school after looking " pale" and "not himself ". That night he slept 16 hours straight.
When Nathan's mum noticed unexplained bruises on his arm the following morning, she and Nathan's dad Paul Elliott realised something was wrong and booked an urgent doctor's appointment.
A fundraiser has since been launched to raise money for Nathan's care, which you can support here .
