The undefeated De La Salle Spartans (8-0, 2-0) welcome the California-San Ramon Grizzlies (7-1, 1-1) to Concord on Friday night in a pivotal East Bay-Mountain league matchup.
The Spartans are riding high after dismantling San Ramon Valley 56-7 last week behind senior quarterback Brayden Knight’s three touchdown passes, with senior Landon Cook hauling in two scores and senior Brady Smith adding a pair of rushing touchdowns in the dominant performance.
The Grizzlies, meanwhile, are looking to rebound after suffering their first defeat of the season in a 34-13 loss to Monte Vista, despite touchdown contributions from seniors Arjun Banerjee and Henry Dupin.
History favors the Spartans, who cruised to a 48-10 victory when these teams met last November in San Ramon.
