The Roosevelt Roughriders (5-3) play host to the Grant Generals (3-5) in a Week 9 Oregon high school football Thursday night showdown.

Coach Ryan McCants’ Roughriders sit atop the Portland Interscholastic League with a 5-0 league record and can wrap up the outright league championship with a win. They are coming off a 28-7 victory at McDaniel last Friday night.

The Generals, coached by John Beck, are 3-2 in the PIL. They enter the matchup on a two-game winning streak — 17-0 over McDaniel two weeks ago and 21-14 against Franklin last Friday.

Roosevelt defeated Grant in last year’s meeting, 21-7 at Grant High School.
