A proposed deed restriction swap between Enterprise South Nature Park and McDonald Farm wasn't on the Hamilton County Commission's Wednesday agenda but took up more than half of the meeting.

About a dozen people spoke against the proposal during public comment.

Melissa Ray, who helped start a petition called 'Save Enterprise South Nature Park' that has over 8,700 signatures, told commissioners the park must stay green.

"The only other place that my two toddlers call home is Enterprise South Nature Park," Ray said. "We've been named best outdoors city. People here care about our parks and people looking at us from afar look to us for our parks. Our city's image now leans into that -- it depends on that."
