Michelle Agyemang has been dealt a crushing blow after it was confirmed that she suffered a ruptured ACL.

The 19-year-old was forced off on a stretcher during England's 3-0 friendly win over Australia on Tuesday.

The striker was treated for well over five minutes after trying to recover a loose ball in the Lionesses' half, with the home side 3-0 up.

The injury happened on the 73rd minute, and it wasn't until the 78th when she finally left the field.

Beth Mead pointed to Agyemang's knee as she received treatment while post-match, Sarina Wiegman said the injury looked 'horrible'.

Speaking to ITV, she said: "I haven't been inside yet. That looked horrible, of course she was stretchered off, it doesn't look good, it's of course not confirmed, but it looks bad."
