DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Our cool and cloudy day will give way to cold conditions soon.

Temperatures continue to cool behind a front that moved through Wednesday, although mostly cloudy skies will linger through Thursday.

That cloud cover will keep temperatures largely in check, with most places warming from the lower 50s to only the upper 50s/near 60 degrees.

Friday and Saturday will be sunnier, allowing highs to warm well into the 60s. But, with colder air continuing to filter in, lows will make their way to near 40 degrees, our lowest temperatures since March.

We will gradually warm up between the second half of the weekend and midweek, with highs approaching the lower 70s and low temperatures making a run for 50 degrees.
