Inola Public Schools is asking voters to approve the largest bond proposal in district history. A nearly $60 million package aimed at addressing classroom space, technology needs and safety improvements.
Superintendent Jeff Unrau says the district hasn’t built a new campus in more than 30 years, and this plan represents both a catch-up effort and an investment in the future.
A new upper elementary campus
The proposal’s largest portion would fund a new upper elementary for grades 2 through 5.
The new campus would include a storm-safe PE facility, additional cafeteria space and a new kitchen to help shorten the lunch schedule, which currently stretches from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
