EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Two employees of an Evansville spa are facing prostitution charges.

Evansville Police said 57-year-old Qinghua Liu and 37-year-old Ying Chen, both of New York, were arrested for promoting prostitution after a search warrant was served at the Star Spa on North Green River Road Wednesday night.

Maintenance workers at the location were working on behalf of the property owner when they say Chen offered workers sexual favors for money. Following the complaint, detectives conducted surveillance of the business, during which multiple male customers entered and left the spa.

Customers of the spa told police they were offered sexual acts for money, which they declined.
