HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — One person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation after a fire spread to a mobile home just after midnight in Harlingen.
According to a spokesperson for the Harlingen Fire Department, a call came in at 12:02 a.m. about a structure on fire on the 18000 block of Cora Avenue.
Firefighters say a shed caught fire and spread to a mobile home where a family was sleeping.
Officials say the family was able to get out in time.
A female was taken to an area hospital as a precaution for smoke inhalation, officials said.
