Dan Newlin, a well-known Orlando lawyer, is flying 500 pounds of supplies to Jamaica, which was hit hard by Hurricane Melissa, with musician Shaggy to assist in relief efforts.

Newlin plans to take off from Orlando, then head to Miami to pick up Shaggy, who is from Jamaica, before delivering the supplies.

The aid includes medicine, diapers, food and water, which Newlin's team gathered in just a few hours.

The plan is to fly the supplies to Kingston and then transport them to a relief area near the part of Jamaica that suffered the most damage from the hurricane.

Shaggy, who has a charitable organization called the Make a Difference Foundation, will lead the mission to ensure the supplies reach those in need.
