LUVERNE, Minn. — Weeks after a family spent Memorial Day hiking in remote Rock County, law enforcement received a tip about a person who they should question.
The tipster, who called police on June 19, 1984, knew someone matching the general description of the man last seen driving away with Kelly Jean Robinson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, two days before she was found dead.
He was a six foot tall white man, with brown hair and a medium build. He drove a two-door blue car, resembling the Ford Torino witnesses claimed the man drove.
And, he lived in Luverne, where Robinson's body was found.
