UPDATE: Next week, the Hamilton County Mayor’s Office will hold the official rollout of a program that is meant to offer a boost in the fight against the opioid crisis.

Mayor Weston Wamp and other county officials will launch the Overdose Prevention Team (OPT), an initiative that was announced in March of 2025 to "strengthen the county's response to the opioid crisis".

The event will also feature a panel discussion with OPT members and key community partners, according to Mayor Wamp’s office.

The launch will be held on Monday, November 3 at 10:00am at Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services Administration & Training Center (ATC) on Volunteer Drive.
